The Ellis decK Tarot (2013)
The project of designing a Tarot deck is a large undertaking, but one that I found myself unable to resist. I enjoyed creating storytelling images with animated gestures and developing color schemes for each suit. Each card was like its own meditation that combined into a massive wealth of visual communication of the spiritual.
Zanbul: Book One (2016)
Once I had completed the Ellis decK, I found myself emboldened to approach another love of mine, comics. Zanbul is a current ongoing project of mine, set to be completed in the span of four graphic novels. The below gallery is collected from the pages of Zanbul's first graphic novel.
Tarot of the Starbound Phantasia (2021)
After several years of selling the Ellis decK Tarot online, and my continued interest in the subject of Tarot, I began to sketch new ideas for Tarot cards. Longing for a sense of completion between working on the art for Zanbul, I set out to create the Tarot of the Starbound Phantasia. This deck took a separate approach to the Tarot, using more abstract imagery and abandoning the use of titles on each card. The objective was to create a deck that may initially provide more of a challenge to read with, but would become a strong tool for the intuitive.
Zanbul Book Two (2022)
Moving forward with Zanbul, the second book in the mysterious graphic poem continues the themes of Book One, giving another fragment of each timeline for the viewer's consideration. Zanbul Book Two is tentatively scheduled for print by the end of 2022.
